Looking to begin a yoga practice, but not sure how or where to start? Or perhaps you want to revisit the base of your already existing practice? This is a series for beginners AND regular practitioners – you’ll benefit whether you're exploring for the first time or looking to strengthen your practice!
The intention of this series is to concentrate on breath-led movement and explore correct alignment of key asanas (yoga poses). We will explore the foundational role of the breath in yoga, why it is important in linking movement, how it is the basis of calming the mind and useful for stress management.
Each class will begin & end with pranayama (a controlled breath exercise), followed by a workshop time in which we will explore how correctly aligned asanas should feel in your body. Throughout the series we will build towards placing the breath and asanas together into full flows, including Sun Salutations A & B.
Questions are invited throughout the classes as the basis for discussion and learning!
Cost: $180 for six-week series
